Barnstormers Comedy: November

Ending the month with a healthy dose of laughter, Barnstormers brings you three great comedians from the London comedy circuit introduced by a guest compere.
Over 18s only. This gig is not for the easily offended!
Line-up for November includes…
David Whitney
Born in Aberdeen into an army family, David grew up all over the world on various army camps. He went to a military college himself with a view to serving in the British Army but, just before going to Sandhurst, he chickened out and went to drama school instead. Years later he was working in Los Angeles when, due to a string of lies he had been trying to impress girls with, he found himself performing his first stand up comedy gig at the Friars Club in Beverly Hills. Since then he has not looked back and now plays some of the biggest clubs in the UK. David is also an accomplished bagpiper and, not someone who shies away from big performances, David by personal request played at Gwen Stefani’s wedding.
David’s material is a fine blend of political satire and pure filth, making him the thinking person’s comic. So long as that person is thinking of something satirically filthy at the time.
“Elegant, and carries disguised spin… Huge laughs… A Silver-tongued warrior.” The Spectator
Dougie Dunlop
Highly talented observational comic, Dougie Dunlop, effortlessly gets audiences laughing and sharing his unique take on life.
“All the composure of a Tiger Woods’ putt.” The Scotsman
Spencer Brown
Not so much a comedian as a force of nature, Spencer Brown is ripping up the comedy circuit like a cartoon tornado. Young, fresh, and like nothing you’ve ever seen before; crowds have been wowed by his childlike anarchy and Looney Tunes physicality in performances described by Time Out as “more an event than a gig.” Seeing Spencer Brown is like a plugging into the comedy mainframe, so prepare to have your mind blown: this is refreshing, goofy comedy that will make you love life.
A headliner around the country, his ever growing fan base is about to encompass the mainstream with his performance as Rufus in the most anticipated comedy of the year, Chris Morris’ Nathan Barley (C4). He has appeared everywhere from the Comedy Store to Croatia, and starred in the WKD Best of the Comedy Network tour and three full length solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival.
“Enough energy to power the national grid – you know to expect the unexpected.” The Stage
