Film Thursday

This inaugural showing will be celebrated by a free showing* of A TRIP TO THE MOON and THE EXTRAORDINARY VOYAGE.

‘A TRIP TO THE MOON’ was one of the earliest of movies and may well have been shown at the Town Hall in its early years. However put aside your preconceptions about early movies, this is in colour and we shall be showing a digitally restored copy. We will also be showing THE EXTRAORDINARY VOYAGE, a documentary about this film and the early days of movie making. If you have seen the film ‘Hugo’ this is the story behind it. The film was selected for showing at the Cannes Film Festival

Tickets are free but must be booked at the Town Hall or online
